FREI-MUT is rooted in Amsterdam and Berlin. Their collections are strongly influenced by architecture and key turnaround movements like Bauhaus and Cubism with their clean lines, functionality, and no-nonsense approach. Having created a community of craftsmen and artisans, mainly situated in Japan and Italy, the house is aiming for ultimate luxury in the most comfortable sense. Their design’s core is lamb leather, developed exclusively for the house. They carefully select skins with extreme elasticity and durability, then treat and wash them to obtain a dull, used, and faded appearance.
